Thomas Jefferson

There is a natural aristocracy among men. The grounds of this are virtue and talents. . . .There is also an artificial aristocracy, founded on wealth and birth, without either virtue or talents; for with these it would belong to the first class. The natural aristocracy I consider as the most precious gift of nature, for the instruction, the trusts, and government of society. . . - Thomas Jefferson

The U.S. SOCIAL SECURITY System is Unsustainable

"Social Security's financing problems are a result of its fundamentally flawed design, which is comparable to the type of pyramid schemes that are illegal in all fifty states. Taxes from today's young workers cover benefits to today's retirees. Tomorrow's benefits for today's workers are to be paid by tomorrow's taxes from tomorrow's workers. However, life expectancy is increasing, while birth rates are declining. As recently as 1950, there were 16 workers for every Social Security beneficiary. Today there are only 3.3. By 2025, there will be fewer than two. The Social Security pyramid is unsustainable."
